M60a1 during REFORGER '79

Esta fotografía me alucinaba cuando, en mi infancia, miraba publicaciones sobre vehículos militares. Es quizá el taque que más me impresiona. La miraba una y otra vez, soñando con, algún dia, poder reproducirla.  Años después me encontré de nuevo con la fotografía, y decidí despintar un antiguo M60a3 de Tamiya, para darle una nueva vida. 

This photograph impressed me when, in my childhood, I looked publications on military vehicles. It is, maybe, the tank which impresses me more. I looked at him again and again, dreaming one day to do it in scale. Years later I re-found the photograph, and I decided to repaint and recover an old Tamiya M60A3, to give it a new life.

                           

Este es el resultado, junto con el kit de Legend y algunas piezas a scratch. Me falta completar algún detalle, base, pertrechos y figuras, pero el tanque ya está montado!

This is the result. I've included the Legend kit and some pieces to scratch. I need to complete some details, base, equipment and figures, but the tank is already assembled!

Interior M577

Descansando del absorbente mundo de las figuras, le he retomado el pulso a un antiguo proyecto. Se trata de un M577 ambientado en el año 1968 durante la guerra de Vietnam. Tengo intención de hacer una pequeña representación que titularé "Full Rock&Roll", de la que iré, poco a poco, posteando los avances.

I take a break of the absorbing figures world, coming back to an old project. It's a M577 during the Vietnam War in 1968. I would like to do a small representation which I will title "Full Rock & Roll". I will go posting progress little by little.

El kit del M577, es el antiguo molde de Tamiya, que adolece de la falta de detalles propia de los kits hechos durante la década de los '70. A este kit le tengo un cariño especial, pues fué un regalo de mi abuela, y durante más de 20 años ha estado esperando su momento. Así pues, decidí  honrarlo, detallando un poco el interior. Para ello he utilizado todo tipo de materiales a mi alcance, desde láminas de plasticard hasta cable telefonico. 

Tamiya's M577 kit is an old mold. This kit has a lack of several details which are very often in the '70 decade kits. This kit has a special value for me, because it was a present from my grandma. This present was forgotten during more than 20 years waiting this moment. So I decided to honor it, detailing a little bit the interior. To do it I've used different kind of materials from here an there, from plasticard to phone cable. 

El interior no está detallado al 100%, porque el vehículo irá cerrado a excepción de la escotilla del conductor. Las partes que no pueden verse desde ningún angulo de la escotilla, no me he molestado en detallarlas.

The interior isn't full detailed. I've detailed only the parts which can be seen from the driver's hatch.
